About
The mission of AIGA Raleigh is to inspire the dialogue, advance the business, and enrich the community of design in North Carolina.
AIGA Raleigh was founded in 1985 as the eighth chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts. Now in operations for over 20 years, AIGA Raleigh has over 200 professional, associate, and student members from all over the state. From Winston-Salem and Greensboro, to Chapel Hill and Durham, to Raleigh and Cary, to Greenville and Wilmington, AIGA Raleigh is the first place designers, professionals, and students turn to for inspiration, professional development, and excellence in design in North Carolina.
Our members include graphic designers, educators, and design students, as well as professionals in related fields such as marketing, advertising, corporate communications, printing, prepress, photography, illustration, paper manufacturing and distribution, letterpress, and writing.
We strive to offer a wide variety of programs and initiatives that aid in professional development, idea exchange, and social connection. We offer professional opportunities for area students through networking, portfolio reviews, and scholarships. We offer BOOM, our biennial design competition for designers across North Carolina. We are committed to creating a dynamic community for all design-related professionals and students in North Carolina, and working with other design organizations and events to strengthen opportunities for all.

As a volunteer-based organization, the only way to make AIGA Raleigh a better value for your membership investment is to get involved with AIGA. We're always looking for members to help us in a wide variety of positions. We thrive on your help to succeed and we know from experience that the more you put in to AIGA, the more you get out of it. We encourage you to become a member or strengthen your membership's value by making a contribution to AIGA Raleigh through your time, energy, or ideas. Please click on the Board Members link at the top of this page to contact me or any other board member about how you can participate.
