Streamline Your Print Workflow With AIGA, Techead & Adobe
Learn Advanced Techniques for Print and Print Production with Adobe Creative Suite
Whether you’re a business owner, Art Director, Graphic Designer or a hybrid of them all, you’re sure to get something out of this workshop. Before spending money on more software, learn how to get the most out of your current tool set.
Sean Cooke, an Adobe Print Specialist who is ranked as the #3 Adobe Instructor worldwide, will show you how to effectively use new and old product features to streamline your print workflow – all so you can get more out of your Adobe applications.
Among other things, Sean will cover:
• Performing color correction across applications in the Creative Suite.
• Retaining edibility of native Adobe documents, especially, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Streamlining your print production workflow.
• In Bridge: Organizing & managing your files; effectively tagging your images for automation.
• In Photoshop: Editing your production stock photos, using Layer mask & Opacity mask in layout design, type effects, and using Illustrator's art as a Smart Object.
• In Illustrator: Creating complex paths from simple shapes, the pen tool, getting your colors into InDesign, and pushing your art to a Photoshop layered file.
• In InDesign: Placing your native .psd and .ai files in InDesign effectively, masking tricks for .psd files in InDesign, text flow tricks, secret Photoshop effects, and saving for print PDF.
• In Acrobat: Creating, combining, editing, and optimizing PDFs.
You’ll save time. Increase workflow. And be more efficient with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat. And the ultimate payoff could be fewer all-nighters — and a continental breakfast.

I feel mislead! The description of what this event was to be about was not fulfilled. It felt more like a cs4 sells pitch than what the above bullets describe. If you attended this event without the intent of upgrading your software, you waisted your time. I do not think I was the only one who felt this way. Sean did do a great job but I don't think he read the bullets on this site. I will think twice before attending again.
