A Preview of The Bain Project.
Paintings, sketches, photos, notes and other inspiration, from the artists involved in The Bain Project, will be on display.
Raleigh’s historic E.B. Bain Waterworks will open its doors once again after remaining dormant since being phased out in the late 80's. Tucked away in the Caraleigh Mills neighborhood, just south of the performing arts center on Fayetteville Street, Bain possesses what has been called “one of the finest interior spaces in Raleigh.” Twelve local artists have spent the past nine months taking in the wonder of this architectural gem’s nearly 70 years of history in preparation for the creation of site-specific installations and performance art interacting with the building as it now exists.
