Put simply, Communication Arts (CA) is the leading professional journal for advertising and design. Chances are good you’ve got a stack of issues you can’t part with. It’s likely you’ve been inspired by something you’ve seen in it. And truth be told, you’ve probably stolen an idea or two from it, too.
CA’s editor and designer (and frequent feature writer) is Patrick Coyne. And whether those inspiring ideas were his or someone else’s, we can thank Mr. Coyne for them being where we could find them.
Join us as Mr. Coyne discusses the history and philosophy of CA, how their competitions work, and other things you’ve always wondered about. He’ll also present a selection of award-winning design and advertising projects produced on limited budgets. And discuss the future of creativity as he sees it — something we should all be greatly interested in.
And you can count on coming across an idea or two you can put to good use later.

I am disappointed that the details for this event were not made available in a timely fashion. I was looking forward to hearing the lecture, but I unfortunately will not be attending. I hope that future Raleigh events will have all details published sooner. I am eager to hear more speakers on creativity, so keep em coming please.

I tried to reserve a seat by clicking on the RSVP Here link. But after I filled out the form completely and accurately, all I got was a notice saying that the transaction had failed. What gives? Is there a problem with your site or with PayPal? Has anyone else encountered any difficulties? I hate to miss this event, but it looks like I'll have to.

I got the email from Communications Arts, too. Is there a cost for this event? Where do we register? I'm looking forward to it.

I received an email from Communication Arts inviting me to Charlotte on the 14th for a presentation from Patrick Coyne. Is he still planning on Raleigh the day before?
